Doji walks into the tavern and takes a seat at the bar. He hails the barkeep and says, "Barkeep, i'll take a drink."

The bartender walks up to the stranger. He carries with him a few different kinds of drinks.

What drink would you like?

Doji looks over the selection and chooses a light beer. He takes a sip of it and places a coin worth more than the cost of the drink on the counter, keeping his finger on it he says, "I'd also like to know some of the rumors of the area."

Well you've come to the right area for that cause theres a great many rumors like the hidden treasures in the mines beyond the lakes to the south, then theres all the different rumors involving the mayor here and his friends, the rumor of some legendary ninja academy hidden somewhere nearby, and I guess thats the majority of the rumors round here.

"Why would there be a ninja academy in a place like this? And do tell about this hidden treasure." Doji says as he takes another swig of his beer.

I don't know that academy even exists but alot of people sure do come looking for, and for the treasure its said that a group of pirates hid their loot here in the caves but so far none have found anything.

Doji laughs a little. "Many people seek many things, either knowledge or wealth usually as both can lead to power. Tell me," He says producing another coin, "more about this alleged school."

Well all I know is there is a few guys who come in here time to time who come in here and other places I've heard and they seem to always vanish and no one knows where there from or who they even are. The one I see most often here always wears a grey hooded cloak and always sits in a dark corner but he never orders anything and when the kids or strangers ask about this academy if he's around I send them to him. Other than that I know nothing more than there sure is alot of talk about it.

"He here now?"

He scans the rest of the pub. He holds his hand out and points to a figure in the corner.

That's him there.

Looking up to see the bartender point at him and he remains where he is.

Doji laughs into his mug as he takes a sip before looking back and motioning with his head that the man should come up to the bar.

He notices the stranger motion him but remains in his seat for a second and then walks up to the bar.

So what is the interest in me stranger?

"The barkeep says that you happen to know a little something about some of the rumors around the town."

I know very little about this town other than it is full of rumors about everything and everyone.
